JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to work on developing the tourism industry in a coastal and archipelago municipality with strong collaboration and great commitment? Oxelösund Municipality is now seeking a temporary position in destination development and tourism.

As the tourism manager, you will work with coordination, network building, and marketing within the tourism industry at local, regional, and international levels. You will collaborate closely with associations, businesses, destination coordinators, and regional actors. You will plan meetings and gatherings, support communication as needed, and participate in collaboration projects and press/visiting trips. The position involves varied work with a strong focus on collaboration and development of Oxelösund, where you are expected to take responsibility and work independently.

Your responsibilities include:

• initiating, planning, and leading meeting forums with associations and businesses in the tourism industry
• coordinating and participating in meetings and activities
• welcoming and informing visitors and responding to inquiries via email and other channels
• driving collaboration with regional actors and participating in projects and networks that strengthen the development of the destination
• representing the municipality at meetings, collaborations, and events both locally, regionally, and internationally
• participating in international collaborations and projects
• ensuring dialogue, information flow, and feedback in external and internal collaborations

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience in tourism/destination development, communication, marketing, or project management
• documented ability to plan, execute, and follow up on tasks
• experience in collaboration with multiple actors and communication across various channels
• strong ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
• a valid driver's license (B)

Experience in destination development, public sector work, or work within business and tourism is an advantage.

Personal qualities:

As a person, you are proactive, structured, and have an easy time building trusting relationships. You have a problem-solving attitude and are flexible.
